Summary: Prayer is one of the most popular spiritual disciplines. But how should we pray?
Key Scripture (Mark 11:15-17 NLT):
When they arrived back in Jerusalem, Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out the people buying and selling animals for sacrifices. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves, and he stopped everyone from using the Temple as a marketplace. He said to them, "The Scriptures declare, 'My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations,' but you have turned it into a den of thieves."
10 keys to pray effectively:
1.) Pray persistently - Matthew 7:7-8.
2.) Pray in faith - Mark 11:24.
3.) Pray in secret - Matthew 6:6.
4.) Praying according to God’s will - 1 John 5:14-15.
5.) Praying in Jesus name - John 14:13-14.
6.) Praying in agreement with other believers - Matthew 18:19-20.

Important takeaway: The keys of prayer launch us forward into vibrant effective praying. They help us live victoriously and know God in richer and fuller ways. The keys make prayer more genuine, pleasing and authentic.
Key Scripture (1 Timothy 2:1-4 NLT):
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.
7 Prayer Targets:
. Pray for your family.
. Pray for the lost.

. Pray for those in Authority.
. Pray for workers.
. Pray for the Church.
. Pray for revival.
Conclusion: The quietness and stillness that are conducive to spending time alone with God are not appealing in today’s fast-paced society. If Jesus himself spent time in prayer when he was here on earth, how much more do we need to open our hearts to commune with the Lord?
If such times of communion have been missing from your life, you can begin today! Take these keys and targets and see what God will do in your life.
