  • What is Alpha?

    Alpha is a relaxed and informal course that explores the big questions of life and the Christian faith. Each session includes food, a short talk or video, and plenty of time for honest conversation.

  • Who is Alpha for?

    Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. Whether you’re exploring faith, new to Christianity, returning after time away, or just have big questions—Alpha is a safe place to ask, listen, and discover.

  • Do I have to be a Christian to come?

    Not at all. Alpha is designed for people who are not Christians or who wouldn’t call themselves one. All viewpoints are welcome, and there’s no pressure to believe or join anything.

  • How long does Alpha run for?

    Alpha runs for around 8–10 weeks, with one session each week. There’s also a special day in the middle focused on the Holy Spirit.

  • What happens at a typical session?

    Each session includes refreshments, a short video or talk on a key topic, and open discussion in small groups where you can share your thoughts and hear from others.

  • How much does it cost?

    Alpha is completely free!

  • Can I just come to the first session?

    Absolutely. The first session is a great taster. Come along, check it out, and see if it’s for you—no strings attached.

  • What kind of topics are covered?

    Some of the topics include:

    • Who is Jesus?

    • Why did Jesus die?

    • How can I have faith?

    • Why and how do I pray?

    • How does God guide us?

  • What if I don’t want to talk?

    That’s totally fine. You’re welcome to come, listen, and join in when you feel comfortable.
