It’s a question most of us ask at some point in life—especially when things get hard, confusing, or painful. Maybe you’ve whispered it in the dark. Maybe you’ve asked it through tears. Or maybe you’ve just always wondered, deep down, “Is there really a God?”
The answer is yes. And not just any god—the God who made you, sees you, loves you, and wants you to know Him.
You’re Not Alone in Wondering
Even some of the most faithful people in the Bible wrestled with questions about God’s presence. Job questioned. David cried out. Thomas doubted. God isn’t intimidated by your questions—He welcomes them. In fact, He invites you to seek Him.
“If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”
—Jeremiah 29:13 (NLT)
God isn’t hiding. He’s revealing Himself every day—in creation, in your conscience, in the quiet moments of your heart.
Creation Points to a Creator
Look around—the world is full of evidence that God is real. The complexity of the human body. The beauty of the stars. The order and detail in creation. It’s all pointing somewhere. Or rather—to Someone.
“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities… So they have no excuse for not knowing God.”
—Romans 1:20 (NLT)
This world isn’t an accident. And neither are you.
Your Heart Knows There’s More
There’s something in every person that longs for meaning, purpose, and connection. We’re not just physical beings—we have souls. And deep down, we all feel the ache for something (or Someone) greater.
“God has planted eternity in the human heart.”
—Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NLT)
That longing? It’s not random. It’s the fingerprint of a Creator calling you home.
God Made the First Move
God doesn’t wait for us to find Him—He came looking for us. That’s why He sent Jesus. If you want to know what God is like, look at Jesus.
“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.”
—Colossians 1:15 (NLT)
Jesus showed us that God is not distant or angry—He’s loving, personal, and willing to walk with us through everything. He came to bring us back into relationship with the God who made us.
He Wants You to Know Him
God is real—and more than that, He’s knowable. Not through religion or rituals, but through a relationship with Jesus.
“This is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.”
—John 17:3 (NLT)
You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just be honest. Ask Him to reveal Himself. Open your heart—and He will meet you there.
A Simple Prayer
If you’re wondering if God is real, try praying something like this:
“God, if You’re real, I want to know You. I don’t want just religion—I want truth. Open my eyes. Help me find You. I’m ready to take a step toward You.”
That’s a prayer God loves to answer.
