Have you ever looked up at the stars or out at the ocean and wondered, “How did all of this begin?”
It’s one of the biggest questions we can ask—and the Bible gives a clear and hope-filled answer:
God created it. And He created you.
In the Beginning, God Created
The very first verse of the Bible says:
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
—Genesis 1:1 (NLT)
Creation wasn’t random. It wasn’t an accident. God spoke, and everything came to life—light, sky, land, sea, animals, and finally, human beings.
You were made on purpose, for a purpose.
Made in God’s Image
Out of everything God made, only humans were created in His image. That means we reflect something of God’s nature—His creativity, His love, His ability to think, feel, and choose.
“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
—Genesis 1:27 (NLT)
You’re not a mistake. You’re not here by chance.
You were created by God—and deeply loved by Him.
Creation Points to the Creator
When you see beauty in the world, that’s God’s fingerprint. The Bible says that creation itself reveals who He is—His power, design, and care.
“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky… Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities…”
—Romans 1:20 (NLT)
Sin Broke What God Made
God’s original design was perfect. But sin entered the world through human choice—and everything changed. Pain, brokenness, and death were never part of the plan.
But the good news is: God didn’t leave us broken.
Final Thought
You were created by God. Known by Him. Loved by Him.
The story of creation isn’t just about where we came from—it’s about the God who made you for relationship with Him.
And through Jesus, He’s making all things new again.
