There’s no more important question you’ll ever ask in your life. Everything hinges on this one: Who is Jesus?
Some say He was a good teacher. Others say He was a prophet or a wise moral leader. But according to the Bible—and Jesus Himself—He was so much more than that.
Jesus is the Son of God, the Saviour of the world, and the only way to have a relationship with God.
More Than Just a Man
Jesus wasn’t just a historical figure. He was God in human form.
“So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.”
—John 1:14 (NLT)
He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, healed the sick, raised the dead, and preached with authority. But He didn’t come just to perform miracles—He came to rescue us.
He Came to Save You
Here’s the truth: we’ve all sinned. We’ve all fallen short of God’s standard. That sin separates us from God. But God didn’t leave us in that place. He sent Jesus to save us.
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”
—Romans 3:23 (NLT)
Jesus went to the cross and died in our place. He took our sin, our guilt, and our shame. That’s why the cross matters so much—Jesus paid the price so we wouldn’t have to.
“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
—Romans 5:8 (NLT)
He Rose Again
Jesus didn’t stay dead. Three days after the crucifixion, He rose from the grave. That’s not just a nice story—it’s history. And it’s the foundation of our hope.
“He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen.”
—Matthew 28:6 (NLT)
Because Jesus is alive, you can have new life. You can be forgiven. You can be free. You can have peace in your heart and hope for your future.
What Does This Mean for You?
It means you don’t have to clean yourself up before coming to God. You don’t have to earn His love. Jesus already made a way for you.
He’s not asking for perfection—He’s asking for your heart.
“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
—Romans 10:9 (NLT)
A Simple Prayer
If you’re ready to begin a relationship with Jesus, you can start by praying something like this:
“Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I’m sorry for my sin. I want to turn from it and follow You. Come into my life and make me new. I want to live for You.”
If you prayed that from your heart, welcome to the family of God.
